Wow! I bet that got your attention!
No, I don't have the answer to that one. I do, however have an opinion.
We are here to fulfill God's purpose for us. That means...are you ready? That means we have meaning.
We were each given a task or tasks to do. We were given gifts to add to life, not just take from it.
We were also put in charge of a lot of stuff:
Genesis 1:26
New International Version (NIV)
26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,[a] and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
Look one minute you were reading this because you felt lost or without direction and now...now you have so many things to do, you could never complete them in one lifetime.
But that's fine. God has all the time in the world. Where you picked up (when you were born) your took over all these great responsibilities and are called to act on them until your time is at an end.
I think that's great. I feel like I've been promoted. I mean I've read that verse many times before, but when I was struggling with my life, it suddenly appeared like I was reading it for the first time.
"When the student is ready the teacher will appear." Poof! There it was.
What you can do, I may not have the gift to do, What I can do you may not have the gift to accomplish. But together we can do great things.
If only we stay on course. If only we pause each morning and ask God for the list.
The list? There's a list?
Well, it's really simple. You ask God, "What would you like for me to do for YOU today?"
Then ask Him to bless each step in whatever direction you go and to guide you back on the path
when you stray. You will stray.
If you're a man you really have trouble. We hardly ever stop and ask for directions.
At the end of the day, you simply say "Thanks, God!"
There you go. That's the "meaning of life."
He has planted in you great dreams. Those dreams are His plans for you.
All you need to do is follow the plan. Okay, that's another guy thing. Who reads plans?
You'll get there, don't worry.
I believe in you!
Bob
I never read it that way Bob, but I see it clearly now! Awesome! Thanks.
