It wasn't about Tebow's religion!

I love watching football but I know little about the stats and who really
is the very best at what they do. I just enjoy a good game.

Perhaps Tebow isn't the best at what he does, but his sudden rise in
popularity had nothing to do with that.

I believe it really had nothing to do with "religion" either. It had everything
to do with "faith."

Yes, I watched the previous game between the Steelers and Broncos
and I saw a number of times players on both teams making the sign of
the cross or pointing up toward Heaven in thanks. You are right. No one
mentioned that.

The Tebow craze was and remains a reflection of a nation, a world
hungry for something positive, someone outside the realm of entertainment,
politics and yes religion who stands out from the crowd.

Imagine for a moment being God during any sporting event. Imagine, too, if
one could see prayers flying upward begging for God to take sides. Hundreds of
prayers uttered briefly, "Come on, God! Let them score!" would fill the skies.

Whose side would He take?

That of the believer. The one, who in faith, asks for His intervention.

How could that be? They are all asking for different results.

Yes, and in life all prayers are answered, but not always in ways we want but in
ways He knows best.

This world is starving for some rainbow we can all hang onto. In this all-too-
brief season of football, that hope was simply a man who caught the eye of
a nation because he openly shared his faith in every opportunity he had.

It wasn't about Tebow's ability. It was really about all of us wanting to believe
that the world isn't all that bad.

Here's The original "Tebowing"
